More information
Do you work with teens, specifically immigrant and refugee or marginalized youth? Curious about design thinking and using cultural probes? Looking for a new way to support ethnic minority and other underserved youth? Interested in community engagement? Keen on innovative, yet low-cost and practical ways to collaboratively design and improve technologies, services, and spaces with youth? We provide a theoretical and practical overview of how to conduct collaborative design with teenagers, provide hands-on experience with our teen co-design methodology, discuss issues relevant to participants, provide design kits with materials for low-tech prototyping, sample teen co-design instruments, and a bibliography related to course topics and themes.
